Well, hello there!
I know, this site…. yikes… I’m a busy lady, what can I say? I’m getting the bug again to start blogging, so here we go. You gotta start somewhere, so why not today? I’m hoping to eventually rebuild it, but it doesn’t make sense to rebuild a site that has no content on it, so I figure I will get going with some content, start building the pieces, and then come back and update the site when there’s actually something to work with. Plus, I need to make sure I’m keeping this a regular habit before I spend time to rebuild the site I don’t use. I know, you get me.
Excuses and explanations aside, I’m playing with the idea to blog about a few different things:
I’m a pastor’s wife, and it’s been on my heart for a long time to write encouraging/devotional content. So I want that to be a major category. I also teach Kids Church at our church, and with my experience as a school teacher, I also write some of the curriculum. I want to post that to help out anyone else who is frantically searching for something to teach the kids before service starts Sunday morning! (I kid…. but seriously…)
I’m a graphic designer, so who would I be without gravitating towards something printy? I’m thinking calendars/planners/adult coloring sheets? TBD, but definitely want to have something you can download and print out for funsies.
Third, fasting and fitness.
I’m super into fasting, especially IF (intermittent fasting), for both spiritual and health reasons. I mean, hey, God made our bodies to do some really cool things when we fast, so I want to talk about that and offer resources and guidance. I believe our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and since we only get one body, we need to take care of it. And I believe that it shouldn’t cost money to make that happen! Why pay thousands of dollars to some weight loss club just to gain it all back afterwards? Why waste the resources God gave you on some man’s scheme that doesn’t work? That’s why I want to help you get healthy and I won’t charge you a dime. I’m on the same mission, so while I’m not the poster child of health at the moment, I’m moving toward better health one step at a time and one day at a time, and I am going to share my journey with you. Hopefully you will find something that can encourage you on your journey as well.
This is my plan and I’m going to make a commitment, starting today, to stick with it. This post will serve as my public accountability. You hold me to it! (please?)
Thanks for stopping by — Greater things are yet to come!
